We had a great 'first Halloween at our new home' experience. The weather was mild and there was a beautiful sunset as there so often is here- the kind that turns the neighbbors' windows on fire. Trick- or- treating was from 4-7 and it was the kind of neighborhood trick- or- treating that you see on TV. The door bell rings and there are your neighbors with their kids in really cute costumes. Everyone just strolling and greeting each other. Matt got home in time to take our 'pirate' out- he had a good time. We had also enjoyed the primary party, a storyteller at the library on Monday and of course the parade and party at school. Last week we went to a corn maze with the YM/YW that was really quite aMAZEing. When Nicolas was visiting we all went downtown Chicago to the Halloween events there. I think we had a BOOtiful Halloween season!
