I love Easter when everyone comes!

This year was a scavenger hunt on the green, a picnic at Cantigny, dinner at Medieval Times, MSI, and of course Baby Daxton's first Easter!

Tough Mudder Again summer 2013 and 2014

 For some reason Matt did the Tough Mudder again this year.  They think it is great fun to run 10 miles while torturing your body.  (Arctic Enema?! Really?)

Pioneer Trek 2013

Last summer we were asked to be the Ma and Pa for our 2013 Youth Conference.  It was a great experience.  We left Seth and adopted our new family for 4 really challenging days.  Camping and trekking and weathering hardships but sharing spiritual experiences and some fun and good times.  Seth came and joined us as we spent the last push into Zion in silence- just the sounds of the handcart and our metal cups.  Really made an impression of the sacrifices.

It was awesome.

the garden

 Came home from a few days in PA and this is what the garden did while I was away.

 Those grape tomatoes and the basil means we will be having yummy capellini caprese!

1/2 lb capellini or spaghetti, uncooked

1/2 cup Kraft Tuscan House Italian dressing

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 cups halved grape or cherry tomatoes

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/3 cup fresh basil, finely sliced

 Cook pasta as directed on package

Meanwhile, heat dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat.

Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 2 min.  Add tomatoes; cook 5 mins or until heated

through, stirring occasionally.

Drain pasta.  Add to tomato mixture; mix lightly.  Sprinkle with cheese and basil.

I love Easter because we always get together.

Green pancakes for breakfast. A Shamrock and a potato. Yes, we will be having the corned beef and cabbage later.

The Leprechaun filled Seth's box lst night and it was found so the little man won't be returning tonight to reclaim it.

ARIZONA!!

Took a trip to Flagstaff to ski at the Snow Bowl.

Lowell Observatory. We saw Venus, Jupiter and the Orion Nebulae .

Seth got a Jr Ranger badge at
Sunset Crater Volcano, the Grand Canyon and Montezuma's Castle.

Took a jeep tour in Sedona.

Got to visit family in Phoenix and watched Maddie play soccer. Awesome time!

Trip to Boyne Falls, MI

Matt and Seth went skiing two days in Michigan. Add ice skating, and an indoor waterpark and I'd say it was a great trip.

So Beautiful!

We get an awesome show nightly. There are benefits to living where it is flat.

Seth is 10!

Seth invited some friends to go and pack food for the "Feed My Starving Children". We donated the money to them that we would have spent at a party place and Seth asked the kids to donate instead of giving him a gift. we were proud of him and it turned out to be a lot of fun! They all felt good about helping. The kids watched a movie in the van on the way and back and then we had pizza, moon pies and ice cream. There was also a Bay blades tournament to end the day!
