Matt did it! He competed successfully in the first annual Frankfort Branch Sprint Triathlon and actually finished second with the time of 01:05:00.
He did the 300 meter swim in 5:55
The biking 9 miles was 35:43
and the 3 mile run in 23:22.
They used a HS pool and the forest preserve and bike trail (very scenic) across the street from the school. Matt did all the renting of the pool and planning and mapping out the routes and he did a great job of it. He had a crossing guard at an intersection, the missionaries rode after the last bike in case of stragglers, I was the time keeper, and I and another girl watched over equipment and took pictures.
